xp Embedded - media portal issues

I have a working xpe. (as I purchased a T5720 thin client) I installed .Net2.0 and got the install of media portal to install. However it traps on start up.
Occasionally I can get the setup to run, but then at the end it gives me a plugin 'mediaportal.dialogs.virtualwebkeyboard not compatible with this version.'

I have a mce keyboard up and running, so I 'm not sure what's up.
I've even tried the setup with no mce remote selected, and get the same thing

BTW -- T5720 is the cheapest / easiest way to get fanless....

I'm guessing you installed .Net 1.1 first, then 2.0, and have rollout2 for MCE in? Try unchecking MCE remote in the remote setup and see if it boots, you may have an incompatible driver/software module if you downloaded the KB driver recently.

Have you installed DirectX

Please post some MP logs after trying to run the configurator, should have some information in there.

Hi jbell,

Could you tell us if your system is working now?

Witch screen are you using, how are you doing for the sound?

Does this system has fan? Noisy?

I am interested in such a solution, but i hesitate a lot...

Did you try a flat screen with XP embedded? Does somebody experienced this solution?
