Description:

I've always liked how when you have started watching a video, and you go back to the menu, that the video continues to play in the lower left corner of the screen (in the Blue Two skin anyways).

How about using that section of the screen to show a short preview of the currently selected file (or maybe even a highlighted directory (select a random file from the dir)) before you have actually selected the file for viewing. The preview clip could start somewhere near the middle of the file and play until you move your cursor to another file.

This would be a function that you could turn off in the configuration window of course as it would not be something a low end system would handle very well. This would slow down navigation from file to file, a bit, but as long as you could turn it off, I think many users would find this adds some flare to thier HTPC menus.
