Country:  |  Allow non MPEG2 in MPFileWriter filter Software encoding cards may aswell encode to XviD or similar instead of being forced to use silly MPEG2. The buffer sink setup with the filter is good, and I don't see why it can't write other streams to disk. Or add support for Matroska or some other open source container. It'll future proof MediaPortal for digital cards that output MPEG4, and be good for now for software encoding (This is what MythTV does, but it encoders to MPEG4 or rtJpeg and stores in NUV).
