Anyone looked at TVOON

The German and half English translated free (not open source) HTPC alternative "TVOON" is very rich in features. If anyone have the time and to go thru it and report useful stuff back to this forum. You would make us all a favor.

For example: "My Commersial break blocker", "My VideoOnDemand", "My Filesharing", "My HAL", "My Communicator" etc

Yeah and I unistalled it 5mins later...
It was very buggy and the English version was full of German... Go Figure!

There are othe HTPC software products out there but MediaPortal has alot of potential and great support for feedback and bug fixing.
If you like some features of TVoon why not suggest the in the Feature Request section.

Hi,

i strongly recommend not to install this software. There are many reports in other forums about bugs. Often leading to total crash of windows! (only reinstall did help). So use at your own risc!

But a look on other HTPC software for some inspiration is a good idea.

I didn't say that you should install it - to use it. I just mentioned it, because it has a lot of features built in. Maybe someone with time to kill - could get some ideas by walking thru it. I tought I had, but I also think it is far to buggy and messed up to pull myself thru it. ANd I don't know German. But, still I found out that it has a lot in it and I think its a good idea to install it and take a look at it - to get ideas (for those who can handle instable stuff of course).
