Country: | I know there is a default aspect ratio setting in the general TV setup. Could there be a place to set the default aspect ratio for each channel in the channel config? |

Country: | I can make sure it is on "default" this evening. As I was trying, it was either that or "normal" that was best. However, there is still one station where the people's heads look a bit too elongated unless it is set to "stretch". It would be nice if I could set the AR for just that one channel. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it, but I am running at 1680x1050 resolution, which is 16:10 not 16:9. Also, the channel in question is digital. |

Country: | you may need to adjust your screen calibration (through MP Setup). This was my issue (people were short and fat)

Country: | I thought "default" sounded a bit funny, just to make sure, this is the same as "Original Source Format" right? I'll try the screen calibration too. |

Country: | i have had the same problem that yours. I Live in france and watch DVB-T Channels. The only one i watch which is sending a wide signal is NRJ12. The first time i set up mp, all was fine exept this channel that was presented with a wrong ar. I took me some time to understand that its a codec problem. I went to mp setup/TV/Codec, and put there the codecs bundled with my DVBT Board (the codecs are 'intervideo for hauppauge non css', or smthing like that). Once done, all channels were ok, even nrj12 ! Good luck ! |
