Country: | Hi allz. This idea come from:after installing new clean install I lost all my settings. With the new stable patches we need clean install make and we lost all settings. When the configuration have this new option, we can easy all settings backup into xml files, and import from settings xml files. backup general settings, what directorys we used what plugins we used what we set in the video,tv . . currently we can only tv channels backup with radio and recorded tv peace

Country: | Exactly. You can use your MediaPortal.xml after an update. But please note: This *can* break stuff, depends on what has changed and how old your settings file is. So in case you experience something weird, you have to check with a clean install if the problem also occurs there before you post to the forums/irc. Keep this in mind.
