| Can I chip in here with some comments on a similar request. My graphics card outputs a 4:3 signal at say (800x600) and when displayed at 4:3 on my 16:9 TV the aspect is correct. If I set my TV to pull this out to widescreen (16:9) to fill the screen with MediaPortal then it has effectively been stretched by 30% in width. What I then need to get back the correct aspect for video is a mode for the (s) aspect cycles to pull out the height by 30% too. Currently the 'stretch' mode always pulls the video to full height, so while this works for 16:9 content, if I am watching 2.35:1 content it becomes too tall because it has been pulled up by more than 30%. This will then compensate for the fact that I have warped a 4:3 signal onto a 16:9 display, which I think many people will want to do. Thanks for listening, flame at leisure. Trav. |

| Trav: You can do that already by using the Aspect Ration in the Settings (the Settings in the GUI menu, not F2 - Setup). Make the square really square and it will use the correct AR for the pictures and videos. I use an AR of 1,33 to make 1024 x 768 '16:9' on my plasma. |
