Country: | Hi, I think it would be useful if, when deleting watched recordings the actual files were left on the hard disk and only the corresponding database entries were deleted or maybe the records could be marked as deleted. This could be extended to a setup option that indicated whether or not to actually delete the file(s) or just delete (or mark as deleted) the record in the database. The only reason I ask is I deleted the watched recordings but the system also deletes partially watched recordings too. Which suprised me (in a bad way ha ha). Respect to all the devs, MP has changed the way I watch and record TV shows and is now my first choice for recording - Im getting rid of my dvd recorder! |

Country: | I can understand you not wanting to delete partailly watched recordings however I don't want to have to use functions outside of MediaPortal e.g Explorer to delete recordings. I want to keep all the MP functionality within MP and accessible via a remote control. |

Country: | Erm, you mean when you right click on a scheduled recording (that has already started) in Sheduled Recordings and do Delete? Ive always used that and the partial recordings do remain on my system. |

Country: | Well, what I did was a recordings cleanup from the menu in the recordings section (from my TV). You are then asked to confirm that you want to remove watched recordings. I should have known better but I answered 'Yes' and voila - all watched AND partially watched recordings disappeared. If there was a setup option that either allowed removing recordings from the disk or just from the database when doing this that would be useful. There could then be a view in the recorded tv section which allowed you to list the deleted recordings and even delete them for real. Does this make any sense? |
