Would it be possible to have an option to stop the grabber from attempting to get EPG data from encrypted channels ?

Not currently, and i dont think about to do that at all.

What are the plans for background grabbing of EPG data. Will you do this only when looking at the TV Guide, or all the time the DVB card is active ? Any idea when this will be available ? Do you want any testers ?
