IMDB Grabber for german.imdb.com / deutsche IMDB

Hi all,

I was getting a little frustrated that a normal IMDB - search with a german movie title never yields that great results. (Please note: It's not the fault of the original grabber, but an limitation of the us.imdb)

So I modified the imdb.com grabber and customized it to the german.imdb.com. Both recall and precision for
all my recorded movies got a lot better.

So I want to share this with you, as a

to the community. Just unzip it into your MP\scripts\imdb - folder and add it in the config page.

Hi,

that was exactly what I am looking for .... but it did not work

I changed following parts
- Encoding is not utf-8 but iso-8859-1
- The Keyword for "Kurzbeschreibung" is ( not longer? ) "Kurzbeschreibung" but "Plot"

I think it has something to do with imdb and changes on code (?)

I tested it extensively - both my updated version and yours is working fine, if I run the script outside of MPs configuration.

But inside the config, everythings missing - plot, tagline, and so one....

Strange, isn't it?

I rechecked everything - no clue at the moment...

how is it possible to run it outside of MP? Is it also possible to move movies from recordings to videos or films or so if a title was found in IMDB? I would like to have Covers and Film infos of my recording from prem**re and so on

If you're a programmer, you can just take the interesting parts out of MP's source codes and build your own GUI around for running the script outside MP and moving your files to another folder. I don't think there's a working solution to your demands.

No, that's not normal. The script works perfectly for me.
No idea whats causing it
