Implementing more keyboard shortcuts

Can somebody implement more keyboard shortcuts, so that you also have
shortcuts to go directly to the epg screen and so on.

The reason for asking is that I have written an app that exucutes keyboard shortcuts when a button on the firedtv hs been pushed.

But I can't use it to its fullest, because there is no keyboard shortcut for epg and a few other things.

Hi mPod. I use your plugin with Girder and I must say it works really well. If I can express my opinion an important shortcut is missing, the one to the Basic Home Screen. I tried Vanessa 3DMP theme but without that shortcut the theme loses part of its beauty. Is there the possibility that you will release a new version adding that shortcut? Thanks.

Plans for the next MediaPortal release are (among other features of course) a completely new keyboard mapper. With that one you can define whatever you want, like some people are already used to with MCE & Hauppauge remotes, for example. The MyKeys plugin isn't needed anymore then.

thanks, this will work until the next realease, now I can use every key on my remote.

The functionality of the build in support for the fireDTV remote doesn't work great in my case.

I would like to publish the app, but it uses two DLL's that I did not write and I don't know if that will be OK, I've got them from an beta app on the site www.firedtv.co.uk

Perhaps somebody knows the author?

P.S.: sorry for my poor english, hearing it is a hell of a lot easier than writing it

Hi ocram, in the latest update the support for FireDTV is changed to use the new InputMapper functionallity. If you have any problem with it let me know, so we can fix it.

I don't have any CVS builds installed, only the stable 0.2.0.4, is it already included in there? If it is,... well it seems that nothing works that I try in the advanced beta setting of firedtv.

No, the "advanced beta setting" stuff proves that you're not using the new code. Please try latest SVN, it is in there and should be working more than perfect. No need for external solutions for you anymore then. Enjoy!

Note: Usually no new features will be backported to the "stable builds", they are only available in SVN builds and in release versions.

Any news about this plugin? it's dead? there is another way to launch a specific plugin (Messenger for example) using a shortcut key??
