Default Management of various video clips

MP supports movies and tv-shows but not various video clips.

The plug-in/feature I think MP lacks is a highly customizable video database in which you can categorize and manually input information.

Here is an example of video clips:

mywedding.avi
mybirthday.avi
sportsbif-pse.avi
sportsolympics.avi
sportsolympics2.avi
sportsolympics3.avi
sportsfootball.avi

The plug-in should have an option to make folders and sub-folders. After creating folders one could then add video files to each folder to properly categorize one's video files.

Home videos
---------- mywedding.avi
---------- mybirthday.avi
Sports
---------- sportsbif-pse.avi
---------- sportsfootball.avi
---------- The Olympics
---------- ---------- sportsolympics.avi
---------- ---------- sportsolympics2.avi
---------- ---------- sportsolympics3.avi

I cannot make the plug-in myself as I have no “coding skills” but I can make graphics and the skin files.

I hope it makes sense.

What you describe is possible at the moment using my videos - all you need to do is create the folders and rename the videos! or am i missing something here? :?

It is more likely me that didn’t clarify my request

The only reason I want a new plug-in is to make the gui more nice, i.e. description of the video files and cover art. And to resolve the problem if video files of one category are placed on different hdds.

It’s just a matter of making the interface nicer
