MyNews - keep it simple

I would like to have a simple MyNews plug-in.

The only thing it should do is be able to play one out of a selection of maybe 6 or 8 internet video streams. The internet streams list should be defined in the plug-in configuration together with a friendly name. The plug-in should just show the list of the streams by their friendly name and an indication which one is selected at that moment. The stream should play in a window next to the list (most streams are not good enough for full screen anyway). The last stream selected should be remembered so it starts playing automatically whenever you select the plug-in.

I would use this to see a video news feed one click away from the home screen.

I think there are some plug-in out there that could be simplified to do just this?
