essential:
Full support for external cable/sat tv reciever, with signal on svid or composite and the ability to change channels on the reciever, by executing an exe for channel digits or whole channel number, for recording or interactive use.

Nice to have:

Multiple Capture cards (Multiple sources)

Intelligent recording (ala Tivo)

support for Networked TV encoders, e.g hauppage in server, control and view in mediaPortal
