Country: | When i used my xbox as a media centre, i was enable to set up cache's for various stuff when streaming from a network connection. is it possible that a future update had a cache feature included, so you can set it for different media types, and how much cache you want to use. this will then help when streaming a divx movie across a network, where the download speed will fluctuate due to distant. my media is stored on my wired network, but my htpc running mp is on a wireless connection, and to prevent it hanging when watching a cache would be perfect.

Country: | Do you get hanging or stuttering now because of the networking?

Country: | yes, but it doesn't happen with all divx, i think it depends if my network is doing something else as well mp would end up locking up and only way out is a reset - using latest stable release - not tried RC1 yet for reference my media is stored on a ubuntu box, as it is only an 800mhz with 368mb of ram never had this problem when using my xbox (using xbmc, PM3), as had this set with maximum cache (about 16mb) - using the same device to convert my ethernet connection to wireless so i know it works i don't mind having to wait a minute or so for it to cache data, and then start playing - this would act in same way as streaming from of the net if i copy the div file to the htpc and then play it's fine.
