Option for a german language movie database

This is sure not for the near future, but maybe someone picks up the idea:

There is a german language movie database with over 55.000 movie entries, called Online Filmdatenbank. Here is the link:

Maybe an option to use this instead of imdb could be implemented.
Although the html that must be parsed (is that the right expression?) is different from imdb.

Anyone interested? Can someone do it?

sure, it must be possible to fetch these data for MP. The problem is just the "do" for me

Would be a good argument to use mp instead of Sceneo for many german users.

Not that I'm interested in reading movies in German :shock: , but I think that if the IMDB stuff would be a plug-in, it would be fairly (read as: for someone familiar with C# and the plug-in architecture etc...) simple to create a different plug-in that handles this in German.

Hi folks,

especially german speaking people.

Ok, i took a look into this and it did not let me go. I made a port to support OFDB. And it works just fin!.

I will upload it as patch to Sourceforge. Hopefully frodo is interested.

i have not taken a look into this. So i do not know, where MP gets the infos for music. But i think it is possible. If someone finds free time....
