Option to set screen resolution for mediaportal independent from desktop resolution

Hello,

first of all i want to thank the developers and the whole mediaportal community for this fantastic piece of software. I installed it yesterday and it works like a charm without any glitches on my dated win2k pro machine. It's exactly what i've been looking for.

At the moment iam missing only one (i think small) feature: The machine iam running mediaportal on is also used for some basic work and not exclusive for a mediacenter. The native screen resolution for the main display the machine is connected to is 1280x1024 but the best resolution for my tv (via tv-out) is 1024x786. So it would be great if i could force mediaportal to start with the 1024x768 resolution. At the moment i switch the resolution manually but that is not very convenient...

You could try the RefreshRateControl plugin linked to on the team-mediaportal website under downloads. It is really for switching refreshrate/resolution depending on movie specs, but it also can be triggered by the events "MP startup" "MP close".

The way I am using it, I force my windows resolution to 1366x768@66Hz when MP starts and exits, as this is the only native (non-scaled) resolution that my lcd-tv supports.

When a movie is played back, this plugin will switch between 1280x720@50Hz and 1280x720@60Hz, as these are the best 50Hz and 60Hz resolutions supported by my tv.

I would love if anyone took this plugin to the next step, perhaps better integrated with Reclock and Powerstrip.
