Overscan on GUI too, not just video

I'm sure someone must have suggested this before, but I quick search didn't provide any results.

This suggestion applies mostly to people using MP with CRT tv's.


I would like to have an option to turn on overscan (on all parts - gui and video/tv) when starting MP.

Many people have different experiences getting the desktop to cover the entire tv screen, tinkering around with custom resolution, etc.. I have never used the Microsoft MCE, but after testing this one day I noticed it went into overscan mode when the MediaCenter program started. It also changed resolution to 720x576, which I monitored through a small app I wrote. This was perfect for me, because I never got the desktop to fill the screen properly.

Currently I have activated overscan through Catalyst Control Panel, but this also applies to the desktop. So when I'm not using MP the desktop is way out of the screen, which is annoying.


I would like to see "Enable overscan mode when starting MP" under the General Options, in the MP Configuration app.
