Screen Refresh Rate

Hi, I've seen the refresh rate plugin, but I don't get it working as I want.
I am wondering if it is possible for me to build a plugin that cycles the monitors refreshrate between 24Hz, 50Hz and 60Hz with one remote botton click. I think it is easy to build an application that does that but how can I build a plugin and map it to a remote button? I saw sourcecode for changing refresh rate here: display resolution again!! - microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.drawing | Google-grupper

I cant be of any help, but I endorse any work towards a plugin solution as you describe!

Please remember that MP is in a feature freeze, so it has to be a plugin - not inbuilt.

I'm looking for something like this, but can't Mediaportal extract enough info from a video-file in order to change refresh rate depending on media type? That would definietly be nice. Otherwise I would really like the ability to automatically change resolution whenever I enter a sub-category of Mediaportal, for example automatically changing to a certain refresh rate for TV, another for Movies etc.
