Simple requests...

Note: PLEASE don't start arguing about "if they are simple make them yourself". I don't demand anything, I have programming background but I am far from the field for some years, but at least I can understand what could mean HUGE work and what could be a few lines of code.

OK, having set most of what I need from MP (and a HEPC), I have some idea of some basic additions to the program that I think can easily be implemented and would give a disapropriate for the work needed positive effect on functionality.

1) the hardest: recording should be a service - I won't go deep into it, many people have talked about it

2) easier fine tuning (than manualy writing down frequencies!) for the TV module

3) ability to record FM radio

4) ability to dial an FM station directly (not only presets)

5) much better audio file player (see BASS also) - ability to embed winamp functionality more (like visualisations) and other players or of course implement it in the core

6) modify Home plugin to support direct calls to external programs (etc.) - what MultiShortcut does now with a hack ...seems there IS some code (probably never finished) in Home plugin to do that, but is inactive

7) DVD player implementation could be much better (more DVD functions etc. - I am sure you already know)

8) Support Daemon Tools 4 (at least for me, it doesn't work as expected)

9) PIP (when more than one tuners or even with a video file or more than one video files) - would be a killer feature (although not so simple to implement I am sure)

10) "Semi-officialy" propose (or even include) the best possible codecs (after all most of them are free or even open source) for all media possible

Wow, you aren't asking for much are you?

How do you know these requests are "simple"? If they were really that simple, don't you think they would have been implemented already?

You keep fluffing yourself as having a "programming background", well STEP UP and put that background to use, or stop throwing it around and using it like bragging rights!

This is what I didn't want to happen man (not maaan).

I am not asking much, I am just listing my whole current wishlist, that is all. Some of those things could happen in some MP future, some others maybe not.

Simple things might not be implemented already if, (1) nobody thought of it, (2) nobody took the time to do it, (3) someone thought of it but didn't think it was important to anyone. Who knows. Don't tell me that EVERYTHING THAT IS NOT implemented already in MP, it is because it is too hard to add it. Now, THAT would be bragging.

I am fluffing anything and I don't use anything as bragging rights and i would suggest you keep the tone down. I am sick and tired of this treatment by 2 specific people (that obviously know each other). Keep it to yourselves (since anyway I couldn't care less).

You don't have anything to say related to the topic of the thread I opened, then don't say anything and move on to another. Or if you have to say something use PM.

I say it again since I have to spell it out for "some": This is just a wishlist. I just didn't keep it to myself and posted it here IN CASE someone thinks some of the same and/or in case someone could help and/or in case someone had it in his mind already and I just show there is at least one more that wants the same thing(s).

It's just that. If you cannot or don't want to help MOVE ON.
