Default Some I.A. for the recording process...

I explain with an example.

I have 2 Win TV with some common channels, but with some specific channels too on each card. One card is for analog program (and dvb-c by svideo) and the second card is for dvb-t.

I ask to record channel C1 which is only available on Card1.
I'm watching channel C2 which is available on both card. I'm watching it on Card1 too... because it is the "prefered" card (I think).
While watching channel C2, it is time for C1 to be record... Card1 is then switch to channel C1.
And then, it is C1 in live for watching.
I have to manually switch to the Card2 by choosing a Channel only available on this Card2 (not on Card1) and then choose the C2.

=> Just a little IA in the process and MediaPortal can do this by itself

This could almost be a bug report..

Without having two different priorities (one for record, the other for viewing) there is only one solution which comes to mind:

1. check if both cards can tune for live TV

2. If so then choose the card with LESSER priority therefore leaving the high priority card ready to record..

As you maybe set your "best" card to highest priority you would always get recordings of best possible quality..

Although it would be much more sophisticated to have an addtional "viewing priority" 8) If Frodo wants me to I'd make him an UML-Chart which makes this much more understandable..

There is not really a "prefered" card in the user "view". In each case, live or record, it is the same eyes that will view the program...

Maybe not for you but for many other people! Image you'd have 2 analog cards which have different recording/tuning quality - get the point?

Or with DVB e.g. my Skystar2 is much quicker on channel switches than BDA-driven cards - so I want it for Live-TV..
