It could be nice to sort pictures using the EXIF date instead using the date created for each file....

Hi!

Is there any news on this issue? The only thing that makes sense when sorting images by date is to use the EXIF Picture Taken information. All other dates may change during an edit operation or a file copy operation.

Since MP1 is in a feature freeze, my guess is that this is not gonna happen for some time. A DB system for pictures would be great (group by month taken etc.).

Hei :-)

Yes, I know that there is a feature freeze on MP 1 at the moment, and that when 1.0 i released MP II will get the most attention form the developers. But I hope that this feature request will be taken into consideration with the further MP II development.

If anyone needs some examples on how different sort and view methods should work, I would recommend taking a look at the ACDsee Photo Manager, especially the Pro edition. This software is by far the best photo album out there (in my opinion better than Adobe Album, Picasa and even fotoware foto station).
