Any plans to include IP TV/TVoIP in TV-E3?

I believe that more and more ppl. are getting IP TV/TVoIP (in Europe, at least) - any chance that TVe3 will support this?

I believe most (if not all) providers use UDP-streams (however - most are encrypted). No problem playing (not encrypted) channels with VLC and VLC-based plugins in MP, but an integration with (My)TV (w/recording and EPG) would be great!

Since TVe3 is based on streaming - one would think that this would be possible (but then again what do I know?).

IP delivery of video streams is only going to become more prevalent. I believe we should get started on including this in the TV Server after the first stable release is delivered.

I say "after the stable release" because I don't think it would be wise to introduce it before. It could have some wide reaching consequences in the way the streams are read at the client side, not to mention the effort on the server side.

I like the idea of a virtual TV card in the server setup that can have different channels set up for different internet streams... but I'm sure there are a number of good ways to do it.

I'm also pretty sure frodo would have thought about these things already

I'd wait until the first stable release and then raise the topic again.

A Virtual TV-Card would be awesome! My entire area is services by IPTV STBs now!!!
