Make "My pictures" slideshow behave like playing movies/watching tv

When running a slideshow i usually like to put on some music while watching.
Today I ran out of music before the slideshow ended.

Pressed paus. went to mymusic. put on my favourite music for watching my windsurfing pictures.... went back to my pictures and had to restart the 20 minute slideshow.... YUCK!

So the request is:
Keep info that a slideshow is running/paused and which picture was displayed when exiting to main.... or for the running slideshow keep playing minituarized...

Are you aware that you can put a playlist file named folder.m3u into a pictures folder. Then when you slideshow the pics in that folder the playlist will play. You can also click an image to view it, then press menu, select slideshow and it will begin to slideshow from that image and continue forwards. Using icon view you can see the one to select as the start point and setting loop/repeat in picture|options it will loop back round when it reaches the end.

But still i would like the slide to continue when exiting to main....
