Default Power Scheduler should notice Networktraffic

Hi,

im using a Multiseat-Setup with one Server and two Clients.

The Power Scheduler works well on all machines, but there is one Problem.

If i watch recorded shows (stored on the server) or listen to Music (stored on the Server) the Server goes hibernating cause the TV-Cards are idle, so i cant listen to the musi oder watch recordings, if the Power Scheduler on the Server is on.

The Power Scheduler should have an option not to going down, if there is network traffic (e.g. looking recordings or listen to music)

Cheers,
Skar

oooh i agree 100% with you Skar29, i have the exact same issue, if i don't watch tv but have music going instead, the server will shutdown when i need it to be still running cause the mp3s are on the server, if somehow the powerschuler could realise there was network activitity over a certain percentage or bandwidth or something and not shut down that would be insanely cool and handy

Sounds like a very logical proposal to me.

While I haven't setup powerscheduler on my server yet, if the behaviour is as described above, it would be a deal breaker. The server needs to be available not only for tv recording and watching and but also serving music and video on demand.

Another vote to implement the above!

Hi,

I have the same problem, the Power Scheduler should be aware of network traffic.
Or otherwise if you could pinpoint an process to watch for in Power Scheduler setup in order not to goto standby.

Did you find an solution?

Another possible solution would be to use the expand the functionality of the IR Server Suite to handle these matters.
