I know there´s a display-plugin in mediaportal, but i don´t know how to use it...

Configuration->Plugins
Activate "External Display"
Select IMON, 2 Rows, 16 Characters USB. (something like that)
Voila!

Edit: Probably a good idea to close/disable the "Antec VFD" software.

Hi,

As PsyDuck said you need to enable "the soundgraph imon usb driver v1.0" in the external display configuration.

Also, make sure that you have installed the driver from that CD that came with the case.

If you go to control panel>system>hardware>device manager
it will be listed under
"Universal serial bus controllers"
as
"SG Remote Control Device"

The volume control knob won't work though as support appears to be built into the software rather than the drivers.
Although Soundgraph aren't in a hurry to help out they do provide access to an SDK for the drivers.
So if someone who has this case can program it is possible that the volume knob could be made to work

Anyone know how to build in a IR-receiver that works with the MCE-remote into the fusion-chassi?

When the fusion case was first released it was advertised as having optional space for an infrared receiver.

What asus meant by that was there is space for an ir receiver diode next to the vfd.

If you open your case, unclip/unscrew the front panel (the metal bit iirc) you can get to where the vfd is mounted and there is a little cutout section.

If you wanted to mount it there though you may have to extend the wires that your receiver diode is connected to!

I think there's a link in the soundgraph forums to someone who did the same thing

I have the Antec Fusion VFD working fine with the settings stated above. I uninstalled the software that came with the Antec CD, because it autostarts when restarting windows thereby preventing the ExternalDisplay plugin in MP.

However, once in a while, the MP info displayed gets all garbled, showing only rubbish characters. I believe it is often related to using the DVD/CD player. This persists until shutting off the PC and then restarting. Has anyone experienced this?

My plugin settings are soundgraph imon usb driver v1.0, 16 columns x 2 rows, -1 in comm delay, all other settings as default.
