Default Audio stuttering - an AMD problem?

Installed MP after installing XP+updates, latest A8V drivers, and latest Hauppauge drivers. No other software. No OC and CPU freq. fixed on maximum. Live TV picture is great, but the live audio stutters on a couple of channels. The audio stutters not only in MP but also in Hauppauge TV program, so it is not a problem with MP. Tried older Hauppauge drivers, same problem, same channels. Tried a dedicated audio card, different video card, and disabled network card. Same problem all the time. TV card has its own IRQ. The cable is ok because it works perfectly with a (less powerful) Hauppauge TV+ on a Dual Xeon. On the AMD, MP takes 40% of CPU.

Searched the web for PVR-150 and audio stuttering, and noticed that most people who have an audio stuttering have and AMD. The CPU should be more than powerful. Anybody else with AMD and audio stuttering?

I have same Porcessor/MB as you and I'm experiencing audio stuttering. It's more a very short knocking noise which repeats from between once a minute to up to a couple of times a second. It can be very annoying. It occurs only when viewing HDTV. Maybe it has to do with the audio codec used in HDTV.

Would be very strange if it is an AMD related problem.

I installed the Hauppauge 150 card in an Intel based machine (Dell Pentium4, 1.8Gh, 512M, Windows XP MCE), and I experienced the same stuttering/knocking. Didn't even bother installing MP. The only thing in common was the Hauppauge card, which leads me to believe that the Hauppauge card/drivers is the culprit.

The info on the card's tunner is:
NTSC/NTSC-J
26152
Rev C599

I'm slowly thinking it may be a reception problem, since it only occurs when watching TV. The pictrue dough is very good...
I know the analog reception here is awful, so digital reception might not be much better.
