Country: | Should work by default in standard MP. I have 2 of them (in different computems) and the work fine, both in TVE2 and TVE3.

There is another oddity - the TV server when scanning lists a number of channels with garbage names. I've been putting this down to bad signals though - my test bed is pretty marginal, the portable aerial that comes with them at my work I can only get channel seven through the TV Server. However the Digital Now DNTV Live application does pick ABC, SBS, Seven and Ten with no corrupted channel names which does lead me to wonder if its a problem with MP. Country: | You can try to change your CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file for your version of the tinytwin. I got mine working using the Tiny USB2 definition. You can try the following: Change the section (in capturecardsdefinition.xml) below. you need to find and change the "commercial name" and the "devid" for your card, look undet control panel, system, hardware, device manager, sound............... <capturecard commercialname="DNTV Live! Tiny USB2" capturename="DNTV Live! Tiny USB2 BDA" devid="vid_13d3&pid_3223"> <capabilities tv="true" radio="false" mpeg2="true" mce="false" sw="false" bda="true"></capabilities> <tv> <interface cat="tunerdevice" video="2" audio="3" mpeg2="1" sectionsandtables="5"></interface> <filters> <filter cat="networkprovider" name="Microsoft DVBT Network Provider" checkdevice="false"></filter> <filter cat="tunerdevice" name="DNTV Live! Tiny USB2 BDA" checkdevice="true"></filter> </filters> <connections> <connection sourcefilter="networkprovider" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="tunerdevice" sinkpin="0"></connection> </connections> </tv> </capturecard>

Not the dual DVB patch though - never heard of it, is it a windows thing or a MP thing? Edit : Ok, I found the Requirements thread. Think I might hold off for a bit until I upgrade my hardware a bit - my graphics card is seriously sub par. I'm just testing components and getting a feel for things at the moment. Country: | I'm using XP Pro SP2 with all the recommended updates. I hadn't installed the dual DVB patch properly - installed it but didn't check, as some others have reported it wasn't actually working. Have now updated it as per a recent post but I can't get it to persist. First time after reboot dxdiag refused to run but a few minutes later the previous version was back in.... perhaps there's something here. I tried the graphedit process but when I get to the bit where I'm supposed to insert the BDA receiver components filter there's no device entry - just the "BDA MPE Filter" and "BDA Slip De-Framer". The TinyTwin otherwise works flawlessly using DNTV Live! - can even watch two HD channels at once. Also tried both the stable release and RC3 of MediaPortal. mmm looks like Windows File Protection keeps nuking the DVB patch. Anyone have any suggestions? Last edited by captn; 2007-11-06 at 12:32.
