Default DTV1000T not detected in TV-Server config

Hi,
i popped my htpc the other day and so rebuilt with an almost identical setup.
i put a fresh hard drive in and stuck a clean install of XP with SP3 on
I installed the DTV1000t ok and tested it with winfast DTV (no problems)
Went to Mediaportal and downloaded the latest version.
I was using the old combo version but decided to go for the single seat tv-server this time.
I installed using the single seat option.

problem is, when i click on TV-server configuration i can't work out how to do anything, what i mean is, Under tv servers, the box is empty, there's no add button.
I'm assuming i should see the local host there, or an add button or my dtv1000t so i can scan for channels or something.
what am i doing wrong?

in tv-channels/ tv mapping, the card drop down in unpopulated

I got past the bit where it asked for the sql logon name and password, it went green.

if you cannot see the machine name that contains TVServer, then there is something wrong. TVServer will automatically detect your TV Cards and the leadtek DTV1000T does work with TVServer. I did initally have probelms with the drivers and getting it detected though and it was due to drivers..........also the analouge input does not seem to work so only DTV is avaiable. I am running TVServer on a Win2003 server which could explain the driver issues and the OS is not officially support by MediaPortal.

I would suggest posting the log files for TVServer here and someone will be able to assist as to what is wrong.

Driver versions
BDA DVB-t tuner/demod 4.0.112.3223
BDA Transport Stream Capture 4.0.112.3223

for some reason, the tv server cannot connect to the SQL database. Is it running is services? check the wiki for how to setup the database connections. TV-Server - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation

maybe go to config section to ensure all your settings are correct.

fixed now fixed

I think i had been doing too much at once.
I may have changed the computer name between installation and running the service

Using appwiz.cpl i uninstalled MP, then i uninstalled TV-server
i left sql and the other bits
then i installed it and this time when i ran the tv server config it gave me the psisdecd warning
so i fixed that by reading this post
fix for psisdecd
then i ran the tv server config and it appears to be working (it's canned and found 37 channels, yay!)

thanks for your help
