I am very interested in possibly switching from MCE 2005 to MediaPortal.

I installed it yesterday and played around for a bit and found one problem that just stumped me - although my ATSC cards and NTSC cards are all supported and singal channels found and locked when displaying live TV the image was very small on the screen and there was no sound.

I was also unable to view any of the dvr-ms files from MCE 2005.

I had no problems adjusting settings from the MediaPort settings application (very nice) but when using the Wizard from within Media Portal it always crashed on clicking Next button from the listing video cards screen.

One final item is in my current MCE setup I have OTA HD from local guide as well as driving a DirecTV D11 STB and so the guides are integrated and MCE knows when to pull OTA vs. STB. Channel changing on the D11 is completed through an MCE Plugin I upgraded to support Serial to USB.

Cards are VBox for ATSC and AverMedia for S-Video passthrough from DirecTV D11.
