| I'm having real trouble getting my Hauppauge 45 button remote to work. Media portal works fine, tv works and appears to be able to pause etc. I just can't get the remote to work. I have "ir.exe" running, and the remote is enabled in the config (also have deleted the mappings for the other 2 versions of the remote). When i try to use the remote the numbers kinda work, but the only other button that works is channel down (which actually turns down the volume) Any thoughts really really appreciated! Thanks Fresh install of Windows XP SP3 (Today) Fully Updated, all drivers fresh from manufacturer's web sites. Country: | mine works perfectly in a similar setup, in fact best remote yet after trying several, the edited file needs to be placed in the correct place which has now be changed to the users folder not the mp folder. also make sure you haven't taken out to much of the file.. once setup you can remove the irremote from startup as well |

Country: | You could also consider the MCE Replacement plugin, and use it to re-map the Hauppauge commands to MCE commands. That's what I've done with my Hauppauge remotes to get them to work the way I want them to. |
