KWorld PlusTV ATSC 110, No video

Hi guys,

I am hoping that someone can assist me with this problem. I previously used Media Center 2005 & Vista but got sick of the 4-8 second delay that can't be turned off. I have done a fresh build of Windows XP SP2 with all patched up to SP3 installed. Everything in Media Portal functions well after I found the post on the double click remote fix however I have one problem remaining. I can not seem to get TV to work using my KWorld PlusTV ATSC 110 tuner card which shows up as a Philips SAA713X,Hybrid Capture Device in the control panel after installing the latest revision of the drivers (1.3.3.2). I am trying to use the svideo port only as I use an external cable box so do not need the built in tuner. I have followed the instructions on the "Add unsupported hardware" section. The system now detects the card however I just get a black screen when trying to view tv. I have used the start tv button but it seems to stop after a few seconds. Here is the addition that I have made to the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml does anyone have the same card? Can some one assist me? I have also sent the graphedit info in as per the help page but have not heard a response.

Hi guys. I believe that my problem maybe that I am not pointing to the correct input on the capture card. Best guess. Do you know how I change the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml entry to point to the s-video port?

I'm having issues with the same board. I'm unable make the composite input works. Sometimes TV Server shows "noaudiovideodetected" when trying to preview the CVBS input, other times preview works but shows only one frame (TV freezes). The same happens on MP, if I go to MyTV, I'm able to see only one frame, even if I try to pause/resume playback or skip some seconds forward.

I already tried to install windvd, like sugested in another topic, didn't help.

Any suggestion on how to make this board works will be apreciated...

Hi,
I'm using MP 1.0 and TV Server, I don't have captureconfig.xml.
I added the SVHS/VHS channels on TV Server and always receive a novideoaudiodetected when trying to preview. If I try it with Hyper Media Center (that comes with the board) or VLC I'm able to make video and audio works. Already searched the entire forum for 2 weeks, but did not find any way to make this board works with Media Portal. Already tried the encoders (cyberlink) that comes with the board driver, updated them to the latest version, used the MP encoders, ffdshow, but nothing works.

Did anybody successful made Media Portal and TV Server work with any SA713X based board?...

I was able to make it works before reinstall my entire system... I started a fresh windows (xp) install, then installed the dba drivers from my Kworld Plus TV lite and then windvr.
With this setup I was able to make the composite input works well, using intervideo multiplexer codec!

Nice. I finally got the card to detect but the TV will not initialize in the program. Back to the drawing board lol.

Thought I would give this one more try. I am not looking to use the tuner just the video input (s-video or composite) for a raw video signal. Any ideas anyone? Or does anyone know of any 3rd party plugins to load the direct capture video into mp?
