Default Lifeview FlyDVB-T Hybrid doesn't work as analog tuner

Hello,
I'm new of this forum. I hope you can understand my poor english. I bought 2 days ago a Lifeview FlyDVB-T Hybrid PCI. It works fine with software by Lifeview, both as digital tuner, both as analog tuner. I downloaded and installed the latest stable version od mediaportal. Mediaportal recognizes it only as digital terrestrial tuner, and it works fine. But I can't configure my tuner card as analog tuner. What should I do?

Thanks

Hi, I have the same Tv tuner card and after spending a lot of time I have made it to work both analog and digital but still trying to understand why while playing the analog channels it seems like it losing frames and the audio stream jumps...
For the answer to your question:
Go to Device manager under the "Sound, Video and game controllers" you should see a "FlyDVB Hybrid" device.
Right click and select properties.
Then go to "Details" tab and check the "Device Instance Id"
Open the Capturecarddefinitions.xml which is in the Program Files/Team MediaPortal/mediaportal directory
Find the card with name FlyDVB-T DUO (Analogue) and check that the devid which has and edit it to match the Device instance id which you see on the device manager, make sure you leave the &amp between the properties.
Let me know if it works and if your analogue plays well...
I would need some help if anyone else is reading this on why the analogue stream seems to get stuck every few seconds...
I have tried several different Video and audio decoders... for audio only the Cyberlink one seems to work...
Note that during playback of both digital and analogue the CPU is around 50% while total memory usage seems to be up to 450MB (160MB by mediaportal) but I have 1GB of RAM so that should not be why I have the problem...

Hi, I have followed your suggestions...
I modified teh xml file and I was able to see the analog tuner card and to do autotuning. But after this operation the system goes very slow! Mediaportal starts in five minutes, the CPU is always around 100% and total memory usage is very high (I have only 512MB of RAM ). When I select analog channel, mediaportal crash!

I have noticed on my system CPU and memory usage going up while watching analog... but nothing like you describe...

Which decoders do you use for TV? check that you haven't turned on any of the TV post processing...

Try changing the Video decoders, I would suggest to leave the audio to Cyberlink as this was the only one that worked for me...
I use MPV for video with NO TV post processing but use the VMR 9 exclusive mode....

Although because my analog still has some shuttering... and I'm still looking to improve it, I'll let you know if I find something that may be relevant to you... try the above and let me know if you see any improvements

Hi Guys

To use a software analogue card in MP it is recommended that you have a minimum of a 2.8Ghz processor.

DVB-T no problem.

Hi,
with the cards application CPU processing is as low as 20% while on MP viewing analog with timesshifting CPU usage still does not go over 70%, so I am not sure if this is the case...
Could it be that because my analog signal is not very clear it forces somehow more work on video decoder/filters?
