I already have a MSI media live HTPC which works perfectly. So i installed the card and i tried to add channels with the software that came with the card. Which worked well. I can watch the tv channels. After that i've tried it in Media portal which i tought would be easy. How wrong i was. After the installation (latest Mediaportal+latest svn) i searched for tv channels with mediaportal. He can find a few but then (almost halfway) it crashed and Windows asks me if i want to send them the feedback. This was all with the drivers that came in the box. After this i started googling and came to the conclusion that it had to be the drivers. i needed the BDA drivers. So i downloaded the latest BDA drivers (AD-CP300(2033) V1.0.5.9 (2007 06 15) and uninstalled the old ones, rebooted and installed the new ones which went fine. Then i tried it again in MP, and again it crashed so i was thinking it could be something with the computer so i tried it in my main PC but it did exactly the same. I really have no idea what could be causing this and haven't found someone else with this problem so i hope somebody can help me here. I don't want to return this card (it seems to be working good). Although i don't think it is a specific problem with MP but with Windows i am not sure so any advice is welcome. it did the same with the installation of the TV-server btw, the MSSQL database went fine and then i started the tv-server configuration and it crashes. I can't upload the logs right now but i will do it tomorow. Just wanted to make this thread already because maybe someone knows the answer (or has the same card and can tell me what i did wrong. |

Country: | My gut feel is WHY are you using SVNs? I'm running the latest release but unless there's something you NEED in a SVN just stick with the release. I know asking about your remote sounds off-base, but there was issue with code and the remote drivers being searched for and screwing up the config... My gut says it's a database issue that MAY be irritated with the SVN.
