Country: | After some messing about trying to sort a problem with TVServer (sorted) I now find that the MP installed on the same box now thinks it should directly control the TV cards etc. MP config now includes settings for TV cards etc. but nowhere to enter the IP of the TVServer (happens to be on the same machine). MP gives error saying "not TV card configured" when I try to access TV. Other machines are able to function with the TVServer installed on this machine. A reinstall on the machine of "MP client only" did not sort the problem. Country: | Have you installed the TV Plugin (within TVServer install).

| I am having the same problem. I have the tv server installed on my server computer, but I had a client mediaportal problem (kept crashing) So I did an uninstall/reinstall on the client computer with a fresh download and now it will not ask me for the tv server address, it assumes that the tv card is installed in the same computer (client one), so I can not watch tv. I chose the client setup as well for the install. Any idea on how to get this to work? I really did not understand the above steps. |

Country: | Its most probably easier to update to latest svn, rather than muck about with MP1.0RC1, as a lot of changes with the installation will be on RC2 when it comes out to make it clearer\easier. Uninstall your TVServer, make sure you say NO to removing setting, install TVServer only (no client plugin) from svn download, start the TVServer and connect to db (password MediaPortal), take the svn file you downloaded to your other pc, install the mediaportal update and then the TV client plugin, should all work now.
