| Hi, installed RC2 and MP found 4 cards (although none were correctly identified), updated with CVS to current version and it now shows none if I start MP setup, and try and add a TV card, it whirs for a few seconds and then says no card installed. The card works with the Avermedia supplied SW, and says it is MCE2005 certified (so I believe they have BDA drivers) any ideas ? Mark PC is a clean build of XPSp2 Sempron 2800+ Avermedia A16AH (with a low profile bracket - thanks to a friendly person at Avermedia) 512MB RAM and 120GB disk NVidia 6200 |

| Is this your card: Code: MediaPortal TVEngine On 11/03/2006 [10:59:42] dman_LFC added the following change: - AverMedia AverTV Stereo support. Requires the use of supplied AVerTV 4 application software encoders. Also needs a P4 2.8GHz processor or equivalent. |

Country: | Hi Markr Please see WIKI http://www.team-mediaportal.com/doku...urecards/start as you see your particular card not on list but if you follow instructions at bottom of page, and also search forum you should be able to get it working on the dvb-t side at least. 8)

| wortelsoft - no it's not it shows up under a couple of names (depending on which app you look through). it's either an Avermedia DVB-T 777 card, or an A16AH, or an A16AR ! it also shows up as AverTV Hybrid+FM PCI in at least one other place. Thanks Mark |

| Paranoid Delusion - thanks for that - I'll have a go with those instructions. I tried following some of the links to the HCL listings, but they seemed broken when I was trying. Thanks Mark |

| Paranoid Delusion - just reading further through that list - and the Avermedia A16A is listed, I believe that is the digital only version of the card I have. Also I had a read through the xml files in the RC2 directories - there is one called CaptureCardDefinitions.xml which seems to contain definitions of various cards - that has a section labeled A16AR - which is what my card shows up as in Device Manager. I therefore hoped I was doing something daft. Mark |

| I think this is something that (maybe deliberately) got broken with one of the CVS builds. If I install the straight RC2 version of MP I get the analogue bits of my capture card showing up and working correctly. If I overwrite that build with the latest CVS then when I start MP it complains that it can't load my old settings and I'll have to re-add my tv card. and then it can't see the tv card when I try. I've added the diags stuff from the latest CVS installation Does this help ? I believe the intent is for MP to support the card - and it's real close Any suggestions ? Country: | Hi Mark The use of cvs is dependant on one thing a clean unused installation of MP, even down to deleting everything left in MP folder from previous installation. Yes use cvs to overwrite existing files and run start.bat. And then you should try tuning etc. Personally i skip through the wizard setup as i find using the setup mode of mp easier to configure. See if you have any joy. Also looking at Avermedia products some use a conexant chipset and some use the philips but if no joy send your graphedit details to Dman and i'm sure he will add to supported cards list anyway as cannot be much different from existing cards. see thread http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/viewtopic.php?t=5054 Should also mention I run a registry cleaner and reboot prior to reinstalling and also tend to reinstall card drivers from a personal folder not from system, as have had these corrupted, and don't forget to have the manufacturers software installed for the codec side of things. Good Luck 8)

| Well I think the analog part of your card is problably a software card (it has no hardware mpeg encoder). These cards are removed frome the cvs build and are now added in a way that mp connects to the card in the same way as it connects to hardware cards. How to get your card supported again: http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/viewtopic.php?t=12846 |

| got it - made MP recognise the capture card I have - it's in the capturecards.xml file - but there must be two versions of the card. I edited the Avermedia A16AR entry to reflect the PCI Id of the card I have and it's all working now. Please is it possible to get my version of the card added to the capturecard.xml file ? the PCI Id data is @device:pnp:\\?\pci#ven_1131&dev_7133&subsys_2c001 461&rev_d1 in the file that is included in MP downloads the dev_ section reads dev_7134. The card I have (as above) needs 7133. Hopefully that is an easy answer. Regards Mark |
