Problem viewing TV in MP

TV-Server Version: v0.9.2.19657
MediaPortal Version: 1.0.0.0 RC2
MediaPortal Skin: wide blue
Windows Version: vista 64
CPU Type: AMD dual 4850e
HDD: samsung 160gb
Memory: 2x 2gb DDR2
Motherboard: gigabyte ga-ma78g-ds3h
Video Card: hd3470
Sound Card: onboard
1. TV Card: dvb-c technotrend budget dba driver
Satelite/CableTV Provider: virginmedia
TV: sony lcd
TV - HTPC Connection: dvi-hdmi

Trying to view freeview cable channels seems to crash in MP. I have scanned the channels in the tv-server and can preview them. However, when I get into MP the channel name appears but with a blank preview screen. When I go to channels and select another freeview channel, MP brings the channel into full screen. The screen stays blank and then MP crashes.
What am doing wrong?

There have been issues with ATI drivers, someone stated 8.4 as good, another thing you could try is using EVR as renderer, MP config\directshow filters, expert mode needs to be enabled.

also try either the avivo codec (free from ATI) or powerdvd 8 ones.

Thanks Ray, first tried updating Ati catalyst to 8.8, then tried different decoders.
Its now up and running.

Upload Logs\Pictures etc, use the "Go Advanced" and select the + feature to upload\attach files.
