question about mediaportal configuration in israel with HOT cable

Hello to all


this is my first post and first time i am using (try to :-) ) mediaportal

i have more than 1 question :-) if its ok to ask them together...

1. i will connect to the hauppauge card from my HOT set top box.
so there will be only 1 channel streamed at time... (i think)
so if i am running the configuration wizard how do i configure the channels?
seems like i can have only 1 channel auto detected with the wizard? or do i have to swap channels with the remote during channel scan?



2. i have searched the forums and read some threads... but i could not figure out how users get the tv guide...
is it retrieved via my cable box? i mean i can see what programs will run next via my set top box...
or do i need to get this xmltv files users are talking about?
