Country: | I just noticed the update installers (both stable and SVN snaphots) suggest the default MP installation folder (C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\) instead of where MP actually was installed. Is the update installer not able to read this value from the registry? Normally update installers are able to do this, and not doing so can cause some problems when the update is installed in another directory than the main program... Peter |

Country: | How weird, I just tried it again and it doesn't do it for me. I've also got MP installed on D:, D:\Apps\Desktop\MediaPortal to be precise. But the updater wants to install in C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\... Does it have something to do with that I don't use the "Team MediaPortal" base folder? |

Country: | this differs from my configuration, I'm using the suggested path ...\Programme\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal so maybe that's the point

Country: | I tried it again, de-installed MP, and installed it anew in D:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal. Then ran the SVN update, and it still wanted to update in C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal ! As a double-check, I do not have a C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal folder on my system, and it is not mentioned in my registry either... |

| Portal Member | Hello folks, I have a running and configured installation of version 0.2.0.0. I'd like to update this installation. The last time I moved to a newer version it was a total disaster since the new configuration didn't match with that from the old one (at least I guess that was the reason). I had to uninstall/new install all - and do a new configuration. So I'd like to update it. The normal version just says I had to uninstall the old one. Is this updater a special file? I can't find it if it exists. Can you help me out? |
