Default No visualization-Unable to load mpviz.dll

Hi, when I try to configure visualizations I get this error

Unable to load DLL mpviz.dll . This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect.Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.(Exception from HRESULT:0x800736B1)

As a result I have no visualization

I get the same problem with MP RC1 RC2 and the latest RC3
Only Stable Release V0.2.2.0 works properly

Anybody having the same problem?
Any suggestions?

Could you please tell me, which services you re-enabled and which other settings you restored?
there are other people out there having the same problem.

Default "use visual styles on windows and buttons" under system options->performance was disa

I chose best appearance in system options->performance

then I enabled themes service

Now visualizations work fine

"use visual styles on windows and buttons" under system options->performance was disabled

I think that was the problem

This does not help here. Are you sure that you haven´t changed other settings ?

Okay, solved.
I found a "SidebySide" Error in the Eventviewer.

Then i have installed the C++ 2005 Redistributable Package from Microsoft and this solved the Problem

Whatever that will fix the problem, I'll be happy. I have the discussed problem on two different PC's. See thread http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mp...0.html?t=29750.

I also have another problem that I need to verify: MP crashes when listening to mp3's stored on a local network. The issue still there after rebooting the system. I will get back to this with logs if the problem persists.

Regards,

Tomas

hwahrmann has fixed this error. Until it is in the next official Build you can Install the
C++ 2005 Redistributable Package from Microsoft to fix this. (please search Google for a Download Link)
