Question

Hello,

i got exactly the same problem like globaldonkey.

- Windows XP 32bit Professional
- Imon manager 6.20.0830 (Silverstone)
- FW 0x380102 LCD OEM HID

I tried already the reinstall of Imon manager with no success.

Can the path be set manual somewhere, maybe?

Ok... I think I have fixed the problem of the driver not being able to find the iMon Manager.... (a service can't access the HKCU registry branch!!)...

And, I've added a fallback to the default installation location, just in case...

The updated DLL is posted HERE
(please download the DLL there, but post any additional problems (and logs) with this issue in this thread)

Good... but I wouldn't use the test DLL for extended periods.... I'll post a non-debug version later...

Now the bad news (at least for me)

i tried to open the config for the MPControlPlugin in MPconfig.
But it failed :-(

I am using the patch version from 2008-04-26.
I think i got it open a while back before the iMon Pad was fixed and removed the MCE remote.

I might have done something bad in the future that cause this errors now.
Think the attached logs show you more than me.

[Edit1]
I managed to get the plugin config opening again by deleting the "MPControlPlugin.XML" file in "./InputDeviceMappings/defaults"

Wasn't i supposed to update it in this folder?

[Edit2]
But learning the IR commands don't work for me, something to do with the deleted MPControlPlugin.xml?

umm... I'm not sure... but... placing it there should work... which indicates that there is some sort of error in the xml file....

And the iMon devices can not "learn" IR codes... they only work with the MCE remote or the iMON remote...

If you meant "learn", as in "assign MediaPortal actions to the remote keys"... that is because you don't have a mapping file (you deleted it). Try configuring the plugin with the original file, just to make sure that things are working... then update the mapping file....

Attached is a non-debug DLL that is suitable for long term use...

I installed the Imon USB Receivers_05_14_2008_test.zip you posted at the other thread, IR Server logs looks fine like before.

I downgraded the MPControlPlugin.XML to the original from the setup, no way i was able to get the Plugin working with the XML file you provided with the update from 2008-04-26.

With the original version the "MP Control Plugin for IR Server" atleast start up, but i can't see any way to map my iMon Pad remote Keys to an MP action.

Is there any guide how to do it?
Hard to see if its a bug or not if you don't know the way it should be ;-)

I not even know how i can check the remote signals get recognized from IR server, can't find anything about it in the logs from IR server. (might be intended, but <jolcese> posted a part of a log that showed such information. So where this "remote action" logging should be logged normaly?

You should see the remote button presses being registered in the Input Service.log file.

If you don't see anything there then nothing is getting to the service. If you do see remote buttons there then you can test that they are being passed on by loading up the Debug Client and connecting.

To remap buttons in MP Control plugin you select them in the list and then press the button on the remote. But you need the latest version (plus update).

For iMon remote the best way to get started is to set the input service to Abstract Remote Mode and load the Abstract Remote Model preset into MP Control Plugin.

This will become easier in future versions.

If the remote buttons are showing up in the Input Service.log file then CybrMages iMon plugin is working. If they don't show up in the Input Service.log file then the plugin isn't reporting them.

Cheers,

Nothing in the inputservice.log :-(

My current setup:
- Imon manager 6.20.0830 (Silverstone)
- FW 0x380102 LCD OEM HID

- MP1.0 RC1 (no svn build installed)
- Windows XP pro 32bit SP3
- IR Server Suite - Test Build 1.4.2 RC1
- Imon USB Receivers_05_14_2008_test
- IR Server Suite - Test Build 1.4.2 RC1 - Imon update (without Imon USB Receivers.xml because pluginconfig don't start up with this XML file version)

- CybrDisplayPlugin.dll 0.2.3.0 (working great, but need to restart frontpanel after every MP crash)
- ShortCuter.dll 0.1.1.1 (Alternative way to get iMon working, read here

I am willing to help as much as i can to get iMon working with IR Server still, since i feel its a better way than the combo with ShortCuter and iMon software.

So just tell me what to do, to help you testing it and tracking down the bugs.

Attached the log after trying several button on the remote, like numbers, mousepad, vol up/down, channel up/down
But looks pretty dead to me :-(
