| Portal Member | SandCastle, I made the invalid assumption that you were using the zip files from Aaron's original IR Server Suite thread. I think this is why I cannot get your method to work. In fact, I seem to have broken the MPControlPlugin by following these instructions, as I can no longer click on configuration from inside MP plugin configuration. I can only enable / disable the plugin. The packages you have in your first post appear to be different (ie only MPControlPlugin.xml in the MPControl plugin zip) and are password protected. What is the password? |

Country: | SandCastle - I am trying to get this to work, but have a couple of questions: Firsty, you say 'Map Buttons' - can you explain this more? I am sure this is where I am going wrong. I am in the MP Config pages, and have selected the MP Control Plugin for IR Server, and choose Configure. I can then see the iMON PAD remote listed, with the + next to it, where all the commands are listed (Power1, Power2, Record, Play etc), each with a + next to it. 1. If I expand 'Pause' for example, I have a value of 1144 showing underneath, but am unsure what this means. Each item has a unique number associated with it, which makes sense. 2. If I then click on the MAP BUTTONS button, I go to another window, with a tree structure with MY REMOTE CONTROL at the top, and a number of functions below it, (Power PC, Power TV, Record, Stop) again, each with a + to expand next to it. 3. If I expand these, I have a variety of options under the headings 'Layer 1' and 'All Layers' where I can define various elements. The one thing I cannot change is the 'KEY' field (above SOUND). 4. Logically, I would have expected somewhere where I can apply the unique number for Pause from step 1 (as example) to the MP Action for pause in Step 3, but I just cant see where to do this. Can you explain in more detail how the mapping function works for the iMON PAD please? ![]() |

Country: | finrudd341, MP has been developed for MCE Remote. My files are intended for translation of names of buttons of the iMon PAD in names which the MP understands. 1. Unique number associated with 'Name of MCE Remote' - it is a code of the button of iMon PAD sent IRSS in MP. 2. When click MAP BUTTONS button should be tree structure with iMon Remote Control at the top (update MPControlPlugin.xml and don't press button RESET). 3. To change the 'KEY' field, it is necessary to select checkbox 'ACTION', then select from dropdown list 'KEY PRESSED'. Last edited by SandCastle; 2008-06-05 at 09:29. Reason: added pictures |

| I'm trying to use this plugin instead of Girder but I've a little problem: I don't understand how to change the key mapping... the map button seems to me to don't permit to change the button that fire the action! I want to map the standby function on the red button (more logical as is the button that I must press to resume the PC) but now is mapped on "Power PC" that is the green button! I don't understand how to change this... ![]() One other mapping that I don't like is the Select/backspace for OK I prefer to use the Enter key instead... Thanks for your help. fanoI |

| SandCastle in the pics you choose to change the behavior of the App Exit button and select key pressed I see two key fields in it... what are the magic numbers to put there for the green App Exit button? It seems to me that the red power button is not recognized at all ![]() The numbers in the first tab of the plugin are 4 cipher and in that fields only 3 enter... I'm pretty confused... I've tried to change the behavior of the left right button when I see a movie: they do nig jumps, but I want to do the little step jump (15,30,45 sec...) I have choosed "step forward" and "step backward" but nothing change! Thanks for your help, fanoI |
