Country: | Here's an update for the MCE Transceiver plugin in 1.0.4.1 Unzip the attachment into the "IR Server Plugins" folder under your IR Server Suite program files folder, overwrite the old MCE transceiver files with these new ones... EDIT: You must disable the input service (start menu, run, services.msc, find the input server and stop it) before you can update the files. Thanks to rekenaar for reminding us. This should fix the blasting problem several users have noticed. Let me know how you get on. shark147: Click Find and then locate the Girder plugin (from your girder install folder) that you'd like to use, not the "Girder Plugin.dll" that is located in the IR Server plugins folder. I'll add better error handling in the next version to prevent errors like this coming up, and I'll try to document the feature better in the future. Cheers,

| Portal Member | Thank you - it is working again. Other users - you need to stop the input service before you can overwrite the files.

Country: | Hi Aaron, Great job! My first test this morning was successful and I could learn some IR commands and blast them. It was not 100% reliable but it may very well be me doing a sloppy job when I learnt the IR commands. I'll get back to you later when I've done some more tests, but so far so good! /Peter |

Country: | Before few days I post my problem with new version Ir server and blasting. After problems with new Ir server I use again one old version and works ok. Now I see probably the solution for blasting problems and I will try again to use new version (input service). But, after all this posts on forum and reading all this, I'm not sure how to install IR server. If someone can to write short HOW TO.. I'm not sure if I must edit some keys in registry.. what I must to do with HID service.. witch driver I must use.. Before few monath I use MCE replacment plugin, then different version IR server and all this version has own requirements and little changes. Now my HTPC works ok, but I'm not sure the right way to setup all this.. Maybe I do this right, but maybe no.. So If someone can write very short gude only for install IR server. ![]() |

Country: | Hi Aaron, I have similar problems with the MCE tranceiver. After installing your latest patch I got it working with my hifi remote, but I've still got problems with the Sony TV remote. I've attaced log files from when I learned a button using the debug client and then transmitted it back a couple of times to the receiver. Would be interesting to hear what you make out of it. Cheers Henrik |

| MCE remote stops working after awakening from Standby mode. In Event log there ia a warning : "Timed out sending notification of device interface change to window of "C:\Program Files\IR Server Suite\Input Service\Input Service.exe". To cure it I need to reconfigure Input service. To handle Standby I use MCE Standby Tool 0.9.75. I tried different settings om MP page, nothing seems to be working. Also I use Tray Launcher to start MP. Is it known issue? I cannot find any reference to this error, so I assime I am missing something obvious here. |

Country: | Olegus: That is not a known error, I haven't seen it before. Can you tell me more about your setup: Remote model, Operating system, drivers (default or replacement), Any registry modifications, What sort of Standby (S1, S3, S4), And if it is possible can you post log files from the Input Service? The error sounds like the Input Service has locked up or crashed around the suspend/resume and windows is failing to notify it of the device availability. I've been doing all my suspend/resume testing with the USB device still getting power while suspended, maybe I need to test what happens when the usb receiver loses power ... Thanks for letting me know about the problem, if you can provide some more information it will help me a lot and I'll try to have this sorted out for the next version. Thanks,

| I'll try my best to give you all info you need . OS - XPSP2 Remote version - there is a model number on IR receiver -HA-IR01SV(TSDX IR07) eHome driver did not want to recognize it until I added VID/PID record to .inf. I think at some moment I tried eHome driver and MCE replacement driver, but latter did not work for me at all and I switched back to eHome. I use S3 mode. I must say, my system is pretty week - it is Athlon 1500. With old version of IR Server I had this behavor on and off. Now it is constant - after waking up my remote stops working. For 15-20 seconds after wake up even red led on receiver does not react on key presses, then it come on, but now MP does not react until I restart input service. Hope it helps. Forgot to attach my log. : 7.01.2008 21:24:52: Log Opened 2008-01-07 21:24:52.953125 - Info: Starting Input Service ... 2008-01-07 21:24:53.625000 - Info: Started in Server Mode 2008-01-07 21:24:53.750000 - Debug: Server message received: RegisterClient, Request 2008-01-07 21:24:53.750000 - Info: Registered a client 2008-01-07 21:24:53.781250 - Debug: SendTo(RegisterClient, Response, Success) 2008-01-07 21:24:54.328125 - Info: Transmit and Receive plugin started: "Microsoft MCE" 2008-01-07 21:24:54.328125 - Info: Input Service started 2008-01-07 21:24:56.078125 - Debug: Remote Event: 31730 2008-01-07 21:24:56.078125 - Debug: SendToAll(RemoteEvent, Notify) 2008-01-07 21:25:04.250000 - Debug: Server message received: RegisterClient, Request 2008-01-07 21:25:04.250000 - Info: Registered a client 2008-01-07 21:25:04.250000 - Debug: SendTo(RegisterClient, Response, Success) 2008-01-07 21:25:09.359375 - Debug: Remote Event: 31713 2008-01-07 21:25:09.359375 - Debug: SendToAll(RemoteEvent, Notify) 2008-01-07 21:25:10.515625 - Debug: Remote Event: 31713 2008-01-07 21:25:10.515625 - Debug: SendToAll(RemoteEvent, Notify) 2008-01-07 21:25:11.281250 - Debug: Remote Event: 31713 2008-01-07 21:25:11.281250 - Debug: SendToAll(RemoteEvent, Notify) 2008-01-07 21:25:11.906250 - Debug: Remote Event: 31713 2008-01-07 21:25:11.906250 - Debug: SendToAll(RemoteEvent, Notify) 2008-01-07 21:25:12.500000 - Debug: Remote Event: 31713 2008-01-07 21:25:12.500000 - Debug: SendToAll(RemoteEvent, Notify) 2008-01-07 21:25:13.015625 - Debug: Remote Event: 31713 2008-01-07 21:25:13.015625 - Debug: SendToAll(RemoteEvent, Notify) 2008-01-07 21:25:13.765625 - Debug: Remote Event: 31712 2008-01-07 21:25:13.765625 - Debug: SendToAll(RemoteEvent, Notify) 2008-01-07 21:25:14.265625 - Debug: Remote Event: 31712 2008-01-07 21:25:14.265625 - Debug: SendToAll(RemoteEvent, Notify) 2008-01-07 21:25:14.781250 - Debug: Remote Event: 31712 2008-01-07 21:25:14.781250 - Debug: SendToAll(RemoteEvent, Notify) 2008-01-07 21:25:17.156250 - Debug: Remote Event: 31731 2008-01-07 21:25:17.156250 - Debug: SendToAll(RemoteEvent, Notify) 2008-01-07 21:25:57.250000 - Info: Entering standby ... 2008-01-07 21:25:57.406250 - Debug: SendToAll(ServerSuspend, Notify) 2008-01-07 21:26:18.671875 - Info: Resume from standby ... 2008-01-07 21:26:18.671875 - Debug: SendToAll(ServerResume, Notify) 2008-01-07 21:26:19.546875 - Info: Resume from standby ... 2008-01-07 21:26:19.546875 - Debug: SendToAll(ServerResume, Notify) Last edited by Olegus; 2008-01-08 at 02:27.
