Ir server suite and Winlirc.help

How to get this working?
winlirc works great, with my scrapbuilt ir receiver, and hp remote.
My Ir server input thingie is set to winlirc, no problems there, and the debug client gets the data.

something like
Received Message:RemoteEvent, Notify
Winlirc (HP:down) and so on..

but, in the mediaportal config, to get those mappings done in the plugin.
weeeeeell nothing happens when i press my keys on the remote.

so how do i get it to work? do i have to do something with that translator thingie or what.
spent hours reading n testing and well didn't get any smarter. not even the documentation helped.

Try this,

Select the button you want to map your remote to in the MP Control Plugin's Remote Controls tab.

Then press the button on the remote, you should see the remote button added to the main tree view.

The attached screen shot shows the place I'm talking about.

Where the screenshot says "Cleared all" you should see your remote buttons being recognised.

wonder what's wrong.

well i didn't see the Mce replacement in my control list. could that be it or??

that looks like everything is working except MP Control Plugin wont accept the new remote buttons ... could you post your MediaPortal.log ? or copy it to MediaPortal Pastebin - collaborative debugging tool and post a link here.

I think you're really close to getting it to work, there's just some communication problem between the input service and the MP Control Plugin...
