This problem was discussed earlier in the forum. I do realize that chemelli can't reproduce it because yet he doesn't have GX display to play with. I know he changed the code and somehow this problem happens less often in this alfa. And also the behaviour has changed a little bit. I am also attaching new logs for the developers to take a look at. Here is the problem descripiton:

Sometimes my MediaPortal starts with the error message window: "MediaPortal has experienced a problem and needs to close". When I close MediaPortal, the display either stays blank, or starts showing default "Waiting for applications" message. In this case restart of MediaPortal helps in 99%. If the sceen is blank, the only remedy is to reboot the PC, otherwise the display will stay blank even MP starts fine otherwise.

Hi, thanks for taking this up again.

I'm using 1.0.2 at the moment, and disabled minidisplay for the GX as i'm pretty sure it's down to the driver. I still have the logs on the box, i'll upload them here.

Why do you think this is the driver and not the minidisplay plugin?
