any interest regarding a hardware which can Power-on or off the PC-e.g for recording?

Hi,

actually I develop a hardware which can be plugged to the PowerConnector of any HTPC and which switch on and off the PC at the time you want.
E.g. if you want to record a TV show, the HTPC will boot in time and will be shutdown after recording. There is nearby no limit for the scheduler
for switching on or off. It is possible to program it 10 times in 2 weeks for example. So the HTPC has NO electric power consumption as you have
with traditionally Stand-by-solutions.

You need only a free USB Port and the power supply unit.

After a short installation the system is ready to run and works together with all classic HTPC Software like Mediaportal, Windows MCE etc
WITHOUT the need of detailed knowhow concerning the platforms. The price of the complete system will start with ca. 49 €.
We plan to offer different versions (e.g. we will offer a XXL-version with 8 ports which can be controlled separately.
So you have your own mini-automation at your home)

P.S.
I had this idea because I would like to use my own HTPC as Harddiskrecorder I spend much time
for but it didn’t work with any motherboard (RTC-Alert) and so on.
