Question The best Hybrid usb tuner for Mediaportal.

Hi i have a laptop i want to hook up to my tv and use mediaportal to do it, i need a usb hybrid tvtuner that mediaportal supports, i have had a look at the supported tv-cards page, but could not find any hybrid usb cards supported. do any of you have some good experince with usb tuners, i looked at the Pinacle usb PCTV hybrid pro but it seems onone have gotten it to work in mediaportal yep

USB hybrid's are not good, the reason for this is they are software driven encoders like the hauppauge HVR-900, whereas you can get the pci equivalent HVR-1300 which is hardware encoding and works fine with MP, so i would get a dvb-t only stick if you must go usb.

Also you know you can only use one tuner at a time on a hybrid card, whereas a dual card like the hauppauge Nova TD has access to at least 2 channels at a time.

If you must go hybrid, go pci or pci-e.

Check your codecs are fine with Filmerit.
Upload Logs\Pictures etc, use the "Go Advanced" and select the + feature to upload\attach files.

Ok what one is best for media portal then
Hauppauge WinTV NOVA-TD-HD
or Hauppauge WinTV Nova-TD

These are both the same, it's just the software that regards them differently, ie; decoders supplied.
