Default Brightness, contrast, sharpness, and gamma

What am I missing?
I have seen several entries regarding Brightness/Contrast/Sharpness settings.
It also show in the (Release) Change log

“Brightness, contrast, sharpness, and gamma settings now work in my tv.”

I have seen entries in the Card XML in the database dir.

But how do you set them ???

The best place to adjust the Brightness, contrast, sharpness, and gamma is at the display device itself. The next best place is in the video card's driver settings and the least desirable place to adjust them is in the video decoder settings.

If you must adjust these parameters in the video decoder, you can do those adjustments for the MPV decoder in MediaPortal Setup under the section Decoder Filters. Other MP supported decoders may also have their Brightness, contrast, sharpness, and gamma adjustmenst there, too.

Hauppauge WinTV-pvr 150MCE
I did look at some registry tweaks, but they don’t seem to work, I presume they are picked up by third party software, not including MP

It seems I have a problem at the other end as well. The Composite video output it not high enough. This is from NVIDIA GeForce4 MX on a Shuttle motherboard.

I tried all the latest drivers, put up contrast, brightness or both (on the TV output). But it never looks very white.
