Country: | I did a search but couldn't find a definitive answer on whether I can use Snapstream's BeyondTV within MP. I'd like to continue to use BTV due to familiarity, but would really like the media part of MP. Can the MP menu be customized to select 3rd party TV apps? Thanks, Steve. |

Country: | I use BeyondTV with MediaPortal. It really depends on what you mean by using BTV "within" MP. I use the MultiShortcut plugin (found in the plugin forums here: Multishortcut plugin to execute programs from home menu!) to launch BTV from MP. This plugin will let you put a link to BeyondTV on the MediaPortal home screen. Both BTV and MP play nice together, I have no problems switching between the two. I also have my remote mapped so that when I press the guide button while in MP, it launches/switches to BTV, also I have mapped a button that will switch back to MP while in BTV as well. I use a remote control mapping software called LM Remote Keymap to do this (lots of info about this can be found here: New Firefly Sofware (works also for Streamzap) - SnapStream Forums Let me know if you need help to set this up.......

Country: | Awesome man, thanks for the info. I read about the multi-shortcut plugin but wasn't sure if it worked with the latest releases of MP. Can you confirm you're using MP ver.0.2.3.0? Do you recall anything about the setup that might give me trouble? Thanks again! Steve. Edit: I'm getting that sinking feeling... the "files" link beside the multishortcut thread header has no software in it... only a doc and a gif that shows an error message about incompatible version. Hmmm... Any ideas? Steve. Last edited by Blenno; 2008-03-22 at 21:28. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Country: | Yes, I am using the multi-shortcut plugin with the latest 0.2.3.0 (one of the later SVN's, actually). You have to read through the thread to find a link to the correct version of the plugin. Just start at the end of the thread and work your way backwards.
