Country: | Anyone got any suggestions and "speeding" up my new HD Freeview box? When starting up MyTV it takes about 10 seconds for the picture to start showing... When I change channel the pictures shows frozen for about 2 seconds while the audio catches up and then it works fine. :-) Apart from that seems to be working great so far, apart from a lost tv server connection yesterday which a reboot fixed. |

Country: | TommySharp: That sounds about right for channel changes. I've used several TV tuners in the past all with different attached hardware but all of them have had that delay in channel changes. It's just something that i've become accustomed to. I'm not sure that there is anything you can do to make it noticeably faster. Prove me wrong though i'll be more than happy to have it happen ![]() |

Country: | Does anyone else have the problem where TV is really jumpy when not in fullscreen? Id really like to be able to play mp3s during the ads (if watching live tv), but keep the tv active so I can see when to switch back - possible? (still using 0.2.3.0 btw) |

I haven't watched much live TV -except sports- for over eight years, now.Don't know if you're query is viable.

Country: | the client is running on a core2duo 2.2ghz, 2gb ram laptop with a PM965 gfx card, which I think is dx10 compatible - it probably a performance issue tho I guess. I hear what you are saying 1gkar, I used a tivo for a few years before MP, but sometimes I just like to watch live tv ![]() As a side note, we recently had 30 of these laptops stolen from our campus in Wellington, they are Silicon Si35's and only about 50 of them exist in total - let me know if you hear of any going cheap ![]() |

Country: | Hey, I can't get MP to tune my card, a thread I found ( Unable to tune in MediaPortal ) said that by getting the channel file from someone with the same channels can make it work without the need to tune. (tuning still won't work) So if you are in Auckland, better yet on the Shore hopefully you will be on the same tower I am, which is ??? The card works great in GB-PVR.... |

Country: | TV Post Processing..... I've got Cyberlink PowerDVD working great and the "enable hardware acceleration" is ticked. I have a GeForce 8400GS which is supposedly capable of hardware acceleration but my CPU still maxes out when I watch Freeview TV or recorded freeview. Watching divx files sits at about 5%. Should I be putting something in the TV Post Processing area? |
